Avar Auto delivers 12 MAN TGS fire trucks to VUGD

In recent months the State fire and rescue service of Latvia (VUGD) received 12 new specialised trucks MAN 6×6 with a water capacity of 7 tonnes, which will soon go to the next calls of fire-fighters from Smiltene, Liepāja, Pļaviņas, Madona, Skrunda, Višķi, Piltene, Talsi and Gulbene.

For several years VUGD improved its technical equipment in the field of fire fighting vehicles – but in recent years 90 fire trucks have been purchased, of which 25 have been received this year. The new vehicles are fully equipped with the latest fire-fighting devices and are adapted to the needs of VUGD. Works on renewing the VUGD Vehicle Park will continue and we have reliable finance resources for it, as only 45% of the vehicle park has been exploited for more than 20 years.
