MAN presents Covid-19 test vehicle for fast PCR test results

MAN Truck & Bus has developed a unique, innovative diagnostic vehicle in cooperation with recognised experts from the health sector, which can be used to detect SARS CoV-2 infections safely and quickly at hotspots. The rolling laboratory is based on the MAN TGE van. With more than 500 tests per vehicle and day, the rolling laboratory is perfectly suited for carrying out tests directly on site if a potential infection is suspected, for example in old people’s homes, schools, companies or other institutions.

HEAD — first to own the new MAN TGX in Latvia

On October 7 this year, the first seven new MAN TGX trucks were handed over to SIA HEAD, the leading international cargo transporter in Latvia. The festive ceremony took place in Jaunmārupe at the service premises of SIA AVAR AUTO, the official importer of MAN Truck & Bus SE in Latvia. The proud owner of the first brand-new next-generation MAN TGX in Latvia, SIA HEAD has decided to replenish their fleet with several more new trucks of this make by the end of the year.

From September 25 – 27 the official MAN Importer in Latvia, AVAR AUTO SIA, presented the new MAN TGX at the Riga International Motor Show, also called “AUTO 2020”. The show is one of the biggest automotive trade fairs in the Baltics, representing 112 exhibitors and welcoming an audience of 17,368 visitors.

19 new MAN TGE vans delivered to Latvian railway

The official importer of MAN Truck & Bus SE in Latvia, SIA Avar Auto, has entered into a cooperation agreement with SIA Transporent, or more commonly known as Sixt Leasing, for the purchase of 19 new MAN TGE 3.140 4×4 trucks. The new vehicles are intended for full-service car rental for the next five years at VAS “Latvian railway“ and already delivered to the company ‘s regional branches.

The MAN Lion’s City 18 E is the ideal choice for servicing high-frequency routes in city traffic. Measuring 18 metres long, the electric articulated bus can take up to 120 passengers to their destinations safely, comfortably, and without producing emissions locally. The first demo buses will be premièred on the streets of Barcelona and Cologne in the second half of 2020.
