LATVENERGO expands their vehicle fleet with 12 new MAN TGE vans

MAN TGE vans are intended for the purposes of the company of the Latvenergo concern – AS Sadales tīkls. They will be converted into mobile team workshops and cable laboratories, and will be used for the construction, inspection, daily maintenance, planned repairs of power supply infrastructure objects, including medium and low voltage power lines, cable lines and transformer substations under the responsibility of AS Sadales tīkls, as well as for the operative repair of damage in emergency cases in the entire territory of Latvia – in populated areas, outside urban areas, on unpaved roads, hard to pass roads or on non-paved roads.

According to the specifications of the tender, new MAN TGE vans are equipped with four-wheel drive (4×4) and 2.0 l diesel engine, which can develop an output of up to 177 hp. Spacious 11.4 m3 cargo space with LED lighting and built-in fixings in the floor, wall and ceiling provides the opportunity to transport various forms of cargo with a weight of up to 1.4 tonnes. Basic equipment of vans includes security systems such as Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), crosswind assist, Hill Start Assist (HHC) and others.

New TGE’s have a 5 year factory warranty and 2 year MAN mobility warranty – free of charge technical road assistance.
