The highest revenue from truck sales in 2018 has been realised by the MAN Truck and Bus Importer in Latvia – Avar Auto. New MAN truck sales last year rose by 4%, reaching 11% of the entire truck market in Latvia with sales of 190 new MAN trucks for the year. The highest result was attained last December when 47 new MAN trucks were registered and 37% of the total market share was achieved.
Compared with 2017, 74 more new trucks were sold than in 2018. For the largest players in the truck market, the volume of trade last year was without changes, averaging a result of +-1%; other truck importers in Latvia experienced a reduction in market share of 3 to 5%. “Although the truck market in Latvia has been stable for several years, the most important key factor in the growth of MAN truck sales is the product price and quality ratio offered, the possibility of specialised trucks and the availability of service solutions seven days a week. To improve customer convenience, we opened a new MAN customer and service centre in Jaunmārupe a year ago – with the latest service equipment, increased capacity for truck service, and even a small hotel for drivers”, says Ilvija Veite, Member of the Board of Avar Auto.
